
There are three main concepts that students need to understand for this unit.
1. Forces can act on an object without anything touching the object.
2. Electricity requires a closed loop of conducting materials to produce
measurable effects.
At the end of this unit the students should be able to answer the following questions:
1. How can something change its motion if nothing touches it?
2. How does a circuit work?
3. How does a magnet interact with other objects?
3. A magnet interacts with other magnets and objects containing certain
elements, such as iron, nickel, or cobalt.
